Privacy, in plain words
Relationship answers can be deeply personal. We treat them that way.
Who can see your answers
- Only the people in the space where you answered — never other spaces, never the public.
- In Reveal together spaces, nobody sees your answer until everyone has answered or the deadline passes.
- In Reveal as submitted spaces, people who have already answered can read your answer once you submit.
- Each answer page tells you exactly which rule applies before you write anything.
- The Touch Base team doesn't read answers. The only exception: if someone in your space reports an answer, our moderators can see that one answer to review the report.
Email and links
- Email subject lines never contain your question or answers.
- Answer links are long, random and personal. They work for one question only, expire at the deadline, and can be revoked or replaced at any time. We store only a fingerprint (hash) of each link, never the link itself.
- Answer links never show anyone else's answer. Revealed answers arrive through a separate, private reading link.
Your choices
- Skip any question — privately, with no explanation.
- Edit or withdraw an answer before it's revealed; delete your own answer afterwards.
- Mute reminders per space, and choose which emails you receive.
- Delete your account from settings. Your answers are removed everywhere.
What we store
Your name, email, time zone, the spaces you're in, your answers, and minimal delivery logs (who an email went to, when and whether it arrived — not what it said). Passwords are stored as strong one-way hashes.
